| Resident achieves objectives and competencies for each rotation in accordance with ASHP standards for residents in pharmacy practice. The resident actively participates in patient care and ensures that medications are provided in a safe and rational manner. Any and all requirements of MMC employment will be met. In addition, the resident will conduct an independent research project. This project will be presented at the annual residency conference. Staffing in the pharmacy department is also required as needed by the determination of the pharmacy management team. |
Completion of course at an accredited School of Pharmacy, with a degree of Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy or PharmD. Must be a MATCHED candidate through ASHP NMS program. Registration in New Jersey as a pharmacist within 2 months of start date. Hospital pharmacy experience desirable. Familiarity with all phases of hospital pharmacy. Working knowledge of health care matters. Understanding of role of pharmacy department within the hospital, its interrelationships with other departments and functions.
