The Labor and Delivery Technician functions as a member of the health care team and performs selected patient care activities under the direction and supervision of the registered nurse, is responsible for identified critical unit support activities and identified critical clerical/administrative functions as directed. These associates must be able to assist in all forms of labor and delivery procedures as necessary. Is responsible for reporting identified safety issues such as hazardous environments (i.e. damaged floors/walls/ceiling tiles/unsecured areas) and medical errors, etc.
High School diploma or equivalent required. Graduate of a surgical technician program required. Certification required. Enrollment in a professional organization desired
