The CNO is responsible for the overall planning for the organization direction of the Patient Care Services Departments. Manages, coordinates, and evaluates all nursing services for Clara Maass Medical Center. Ensures quality-nursing practice through the development of nursing policies and standards. Participate in institutional planning, fiscal decision and quality assurance and improvement mechanisms. Develops programs for the Nursing Department in accordance with the Clara Maass Medical Center Mission Statement. Participates in hospital-wide decision making and strategies planning as assigned by President & Chief Executive Officer. Provides direction, promotes efficiency and effectiveness, and fosters a productive and satisfying work environment.
*Graduate of an accredited school of nursing and currently licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in New Jersey.
*Master's degree in Nursing.
*Certification in Nursing Administration preferred.
*Minimum of ten (10) years of nursing experience and five (5) years of nurse leadership experience for a large, complex hospital or health care system.
