POSITION SUMMARY The Biomedical Services Support Associate provides operational and administrative support to the Biomedical Engineering Department via tasks that include, but are not limited to computer data management, parts ordering, invoice processing, departmental communications, and system administration.
EDUCATION: Associate's Degree in related field or specialized secretarial training required. LICENSE/CERTIFICATION: Valid Driver's License EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS:
3-5 years secretarial role experience required.
5+ years of experience preferred.
Experience with Vendor Management preferred.
Possess a thorough knowledge of administration and office procedures.
Proficient with Microsoft office tools, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Organizes and controls functions of computerized programs in maintenance operations.
Be a subject matter expert in regard to systems administration.
Gather data and prepare reports on operational metrics.
Insures data entry in all systems is current and accurate.
Interact daily and maintain organization with a changing and sometimes stressful environment.
Be an active participant of a team environment.
Communicate effectively in both written and oral formats.
Ability to multitask and prioritize according to directives.
Exhibits initiative, responsibility, and flexibility.
Utilize experiences and resources to meet established goals and objectives.
Takes minutes and participates in meeting as required.
Assists technicians with ordering and processing of parts orders.
Maintains and organizes all office related procedures.
Communicates effectively and professionally to both local and broader audiences as needed.
Assists in projects as needed.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Adheres to AtlantiCare and AIT Policies and Procedures.
Utilizes the ITIL framework in the areas of incident, change and problem management services within AtlantiCare.
WORK ENVIRONMENT This position requires balancing, fingering, reaching, seeing, driving, and speaking a majority of the time. Works with such equipment as computer terminal, fax machine, copier, and telephone. Occasional carrying up to 20 lbs. also required.
