The Stroke Coordinator works with the Director of Nursing Quality and VP of Quality to oversee and direct all aspects of the NBI Stroke Center including patient care management, program development, and community education. The stroke program coordinator will work with the interdisciplinary team in development, implementation and evaluation of data collection, analysis and reports according to national and state requirements and standards. The stroke program coordinator will assist in professional education program as required. The stroke program coordinator will provide support/resource to the stroke team and inpatient unit. Is responsible for reporting identified safety issues such as hazardous environments (i.e. damaged floors/walls/ceiling tiles/unsecured areas) and medical errors, etc.--Current New Jersey license as a Registered Nurse required; BLS Heart Saver/Healthcare provider required; three to five years experience in Nursing required; neurological nursing and critical care experience preferred. Must have good communication, interpersonal, and coordination skills. Computer knowledge and Microsoft software required.
