Assists, under the direction of the Laboratory Chair and Administrative Director, in directing Point of Care and Quality Assurance. Assumes the responsibility for organizing the flow of data within and outside the laboratory for Quality Assurance and POC testing. Also ensures that the department meets federal, state, CLIA, JCAHO and CAP requirements. Directly supervises one technologist. When covering a manager on call, can call in staff and adjust the work schedule throughout the day as appropriate
Bachelor of Science or Medical Technology degree. ASCP or NCA certification preferred. Minimum of 3 yours experience as a medical technologist. Must meet the requirements for qualification of laboratory supervisor as stated by the State of New Jersey and the CAP accreditation guidelines. Must work weekends and holidays as a general supervisor
