| First Home Care has determined a community need for Crisis Intervention and Stabilization in the Roanoke, VA and surrounding areas. In order to assist the Roanoke community with their crisis intervention/stabilization needs, we are looking for someone who is ready to build the new program from the ground up. We are looking for someone who has vision and is also willing to go out into the community to share our services and be available to the client when they need someone the most. This person must be licensed or license eligible in the state of Virginia, have previous crisis intervention/stabilization experience. For those candidates that are licensed eligible, we also offer supervision hours, free for the employee. Assess and treat individuals with mental, emotional, or substance abuse problems,. including abuse of alcohol, tobacco, and/or other drugs. Activities may include individual and group therapy, crisis intervention, case management, client advocacy, prevention, and education. Candidate selected will be responsible for the following: Initial Assessments with Medicaid clients within 24hrs of referral. Willingness to be flexible and adapt to new opportunities/environments in which treatment can be provided. Excellent communication and writing skills. Work under a trauma model of intervention. Strong suicide assessment experience. Work with multi-disciplinary team including staff and psychiatrist. |
